IND-Day was so fun. its beeeen so long since ive kicked some soccer balls. and to get the chance to play it ytsd was pure satisfaction. there were 7 teams altogether.
was supposed to play against anon's team(my coursemates) but didnt get the chance to. cos there were some cocked up in our game schedule, so our team played only twice, when we're actually supposed to play 4 games. but its alrightlah. we dont rly care about winning in the first place. we just wanted to play for fun and laughter. anon's team were the team to beat ystd. well, they did raise some standard in their game, yea tht was what i observed ystd. woa that anon ah, early2 say he wna mark me alr. walao. haha. but too bad, my team didnt get to play with hes. hawhaw. XD
oh, shikin and me were the only girls who played ystd. the rest were dudes. so yea, most of the time while playing, i got alot of, "careful2", "okay or not? did i hit u just now?" kinda thing. lol. IM OKAY lah. apart from getting my face hit by the ball, fell on my butt, bruises on both shin, other than that im fine, thanks. heh.
anw, my teammates for ystd were shane, edwin, sengkai, changlong, benjamin, shikin and me. benjamin was our goalie the whole time. he so cool and sporting lah. hohoho. oh oh, speaking of goalie, there was this one particular goalie that caught my attention. hes from alaric's(my new classmate) team. powerlah he. salute him man. thats what i call an impenetrable keeper. uhuh. aisehbedah. hahaha. but idk hes name though. heehee.
there was this one game against this red team (so rough sia they play!), we were 3-1 down and left with only 2 or 3 mins. so edwin went, "dont worry dont worry, later we score three-pointer can win alr" LOL. three-pointer eh..hmm, righttt..lol. i respect edwin ah. he was being very supportive the whole time ytsd. very encouraging ,really, to have people like him ard. he always gave us the boost when shikin and me needed one during and after the game.
but pity him man, hes ehemballsehem got hit by the soccer ball during hes last game versus the lecturers. hohoho. poor thing sia. he cldnt continue after that. not say cannot walk, want to stand up also cannot. lol. funny sia when hes that one kena hit. he was like, "BALLS OF STEEL!" (sempatt seh)..then he continued playing for a minute or so before he gave up cos cannot tahan(take it) alr. hahaha! shikin and me were so mean cos we cldnt stop laughing at him. eh serious, funny shidd. oh smtg unsightly happen too but i shall not say it here. hhoho. wna know, ask me. "eh jgn ketawa ah, korang tak ader korang tak tau betapa sakitnyer seh. give me some love man" hahahahahhahahaaha. sorry edwin for being mean. hehehe.
i met alot of very friendly people ystd. playing with guys is rly different compared to girls. they get friendly with just anyone they just met. for them, its simple. see new people, introduce, then play soccer tghter like they have known each other for lightyears. unlike girls, who sometimes got that lil whatchacallit? ego/hesitation? when they meet new ppl. anw, my team had a friendly match with shikin's friends. and i manage to score a goal! whooo. haha. happy sia. a goal is better than nothing okay. hurhur. oh, thanks to edwin, ppl i just made friends with, even started calling me torres. aiseyman. hahaha. ~ala, cannot do the eyebrow emoticon thing. hehe.
playing striker the whole time ystd isnt rly tht bad actually, gta agree with bestie. but even so, i feel more comfortable playing mid or defend. hoho. i really enjoyed myself ystd. suggested to shikin that we should make this a every friday thing. lol. so fun!

they made my day, yet again.was in a bad mood when i got home just now. nope, it has got ntg to do with school. school was fine. its just tt the journey home was superbly tiring. i had to dropped by causeway point otw home to do some errands. so like it or not, i gta take 168. i just dislike taking 168 home from school around the peak hour cos surely packed with people. what irritate me was the bus was single-decked and everyone wanted to like get on the bus even though its already crowded, bag was damn heavy and i had to stand all the way. And the bus was moving very slowly because it was raining. wow perfect.
ok, shall not dwell on my misery no more. hoho.

didnt have any class today but there were some project work that needs to be done so i still hadta go to school. and luckathing i did. cos Muttons came to TP today! wooohooo. well, actually shikin and me didnt knoe that they were cmg. we just happened to be outside the LT where the event is gna be held. so Ms Lim, our WAD lab tutor, sort of invited us to go watch the Muttons. like why not right?? who wld wna miss the chance seh? lol. i love love love ppl who make me laugh. so yes, i love the Muttons! hee. anw, they came for some Radio Invasion thing and smtg about web design..errr, actually right..i dont know. hohoho. didnt quite hear what they were saying. heehee. i did took some photos of them but i think im gna upload it some other time.cos its in my camera and im so lazy to go and get it from my room. haha ok shirin nonse.

kak nora is one influential shopper i tell you. in some way im getting addicted to shopping thanks to her. lol. why? cos i alr shopped twice this month alone. how can? my moolah is draining fast. O_O i rly hope i didnt get bestie hooked onto it too. (did you?) heehee.
i dig last minute plans. weee. bestie wna go shop for stuffs so i accompanied her to bugis street ystd. i suggested we go thr since she wna get herself a pair of skinny jeans. yea so we took a direct bus from amk intchg str to bugis. boy, i missed taking long bus rides with her. hoho.
shopping on saturdays isnt a good idea, really. the place was so packed. ughh. but we did managed to get what we wanted though. farhana got her skinnies and polo tee. and i got her into buying a white belt. hehe. mine broke ystd, pfft, so i gta get a new one. which i did. furthermore it was cheap. hoho.
we kinda got tired after walking ard plus our tummies were calling out for food. and i was craving badly for chicken ystd so farhana gave in went i wanted to have our brunch at KFC. hehehe. thanks eh. :) oh, i had a hard time chewing the food wht more open my mouth. tink theres smtg wrong with my jaw area there. bleah. and farhana kept laughing whenever i shrieked in pain randomly while we're talking. she s8 its funny. -_- woa, laugh at my misery. tsk2.
just when i thot i cld save myself some moolah and not buy anyting, farhana talked me into buying the tees we saw earlier. so we went back to the shop to get it. lol. we got some good buys from there. and farhana was rly enjoying the good deals she got all day. haha. good for you bestie.
all in all i had a good time hanging out with bestie. we havent done tht for so long. so it was nice to have the whole day to ourself. :)

kudos to the TP MAG. they did a brilliant job with the Pentas: Rahasia. it was full-house at audi 1 last night. the 2-hour production is smtg worth watching cos its funny and the whole crew that were involved gave their best. rly looking forward to catch more of these in the cmg future. :D

the only thing that i enjoy doiing in HCI nw, is paper prototyping. one, cos thrs no one to lecture us. and two, simply s8, i miss doing cut and paste. -_- lol.
okay. so i have 3 projects at hand now. sometimes i get confused which one's which. cos they are totally two different topics; fashion and travel. but i cant wait to see the end product of the fashion website. it will be the first website tht we have to include a weblog and forum. in which we have to edit the codings by ourself. although it cld get a little complicated at times, html and php are wayyyy much easier to handle than java. period.
the third wld have to be my CDS project. hafta start collecting stories to put in my portfolio. deadlines cmg up preeeettty soon. so if any of you have any stories, feel free to share with me okay? i would really appreciate it. :)

WOOOHOOO. yes yes i survived! PHEW. ive been waiting to get over and done with the interview assesment and storytelling the whole week lah. and now tht its over, its time to enjoy the weekends ppl! haha. ok i sound as though im like gg on a holiday right? but sad to say im not. lol. oh, speaking of holiday, syafiqah & family as well as my grandad are taking off to Barcelona, Spain later at night. yes people, spain! its SPAIN yaw! argh! i can only dream of ever stepping my foot there. sigh.
ANW, i went to school quite early ytd to help ELF out with TPrawk. spent about 3 hours at the ALP site watching secondary sch students do the low-elements. i bumped into a few smss peeps down thr. met fariza and fren(err idk her name bt shes frm smss too), mariam, sancha and floramae. floramae was so cute. sche screamed when she saw me. haha! so comical. we exchanged hugs and off she went. lunch was provided, alhamdulillah. save my moolah. hehe.
okay lets skip the interview bit. shall not dwell over it. hoho.
my bag was freaakking heavy ytd. i had a shoebag (w nt one, but 3 shoes inside), my formal blouse and pants, portfolio and god knows what other things i had, all stuffed inside. i felt as though i ws some kind of spy lah cos i had to change in and out of my clothes so many times. bleargh. -_-
oh, and i didnt run ard the reservoir. hurhur. my body just died on me even before training started. lol. and happy birthday jian guang! pity that guy. kena saboh-ed like whatlah. he got a love concoction prepared by all the AC peeps. wna know the recipe? here goes:
strawberry jam
milo powder
uncooked rice
baked beans
coffeemix
Krunch choco
chilli/tomato sauce
shampoo lol.
to make it even more zesty, we had fruit punch syrup! hahaha. should have seen hes face when he drank it up. he sure did look as though he's gna throw up anytime. tssk2. hoho.
okay2. i better get going. gta go back sch ltr at 7 to catch some production by TP Malay Arts Group. hoho. bye people!

uknow sometimes u just have to find something to self-entertained your own self when youre feeling rly bored. and it doesnt take a lot to entertain someone like me. like my cousin commented jst the other day; shirin will laugh at the smallest things. even if there isnt anything to laugh abt also, she will still laugh. lol. thats shirin. so live with it. :D
anyway, i went for the otc interview w O-NINA ytd! haha. still the same old her. oooh oooh oooh. wait before tht, thrs tis really good storyteller in my cds class tht left a very nice first impression. kate, im sure u know who im talking about rite? hehe.
ok back to O-NINA, haha, she'll kill me if she saw what i call her. lol. met her at the mushrm then headed to SAA fr the interview. the interview this time round was quite long. it lasted for 40mins. and bcos of that i was late to meet shikin. sry!
the result's will be announced on monday. hard to say whether i'll be shortlisted or not. looking at the overwhelming applications for GL wanabees, its a really slim chance. but its good to hear tht many freshies wna be GLs tis time round. so if i nvr get also, its alright actually. give the first years a chance. :D

ahhh today was pure bliss. its one of those lucky days when you can rly wash eyes wherever u walked ard the campus. i like... XD
so okay, 4 hours of HCI wasnt as bad as i thought it wld be. our task for lab session tdy was to go ard school and evaluate on human interactive interfaces. so given an hour, my grp had to asses on 4 interfaces which consist of the speakerphone, lift feedback and lift controls. was quite glad that george finally let us do something outside lab. imagine if he were to ask us to continue doing the gaia theories, waa, surely cant absorb anything i tell you. whatnot? its 8 am in the morning! want us to go brain dead? hoho.
tutorial aft tt was hilarious. we did tis really ridiculous ppt slide tht left the whole class and george yam speechless. haha! dont ask.
anw, had lunch with the C141 classmates tdy. its been weeks since i sat down n have a nice decent meal w them seii. so was kinda glad our break was same timing. oh, shikin brought this huge poker cards to sch tdy so we played a few rounds of taiti. believe me when i say its huge, its really huge. kaeling even said my hands were too small to handle all the cards. haha yes i know. hoho.
anddd.. i spotted Mr Nice Eyes in the canteen jst nw. :D he was sitting just a table away from us. and shikin's fren was thr too. so when i had to say gdbye to her fren, it felt so odd cos Mr Nice Eyes was sitting right next to him looking in my direction. so can briefly imagine the scenario, right? ahhhhhhhh~ XD
ok lets come back down to earth. lol. its the TP Arts week! and tdy's showcase was the Divo Diva Vocalists. our classmate, Kate, was involved in it. so the whole class went to support her outside the lib, where the event was held. oh, shes a filipino btw. and filipinos are known for their really strong vocals. so great job kate! :D so yea, did a lot alot of eye washing thr as well. hoho. must take tis opportune, cos tis events dont come round often. hehe.
went for the ettiquette workshop at 3. lasted ard 2 1/2 hours. left for home after tht.
actually im kinda lazy to blog further so i shall stop here. lol.
so okay, 4 hours of HCI wasnt as bad as i thought it wld be. our task for lab session tdy was to go ard school and evaluate on human interactive interfaces. so given an hour, my grp had to asses on 4 interfaces which consist of the speakerphone, lift feedback and lift controls. was quite glad that george finally let us do something outside lab. imagine if he were to ask us to continue doing the gaia theories, waa, surely cant absorb anything i tell you. whatnot? its 8 am in the morning! want us to go brain dead? hoho.

my first night feeling so bored to death. i know im always feeling bored la. hoho.
but this is different. cos its leaving me with no choice but to SLEEP EARLY. what is sleep early seii? there's no such thing in shirin's dictionary. XD kfine, that ONLY applies when im all-in.
and when i thought its gna be one silent night, its father to the rescue! hee. while im typing this entry, he was busy doing some improvisation. kudos to dad, we now have a DIY TV. lol. all he had was a projector head and a big wide white paper to make do with. so trial and error here and there and WALAAA! some life at home atlast! lol.

went to Audi 2 to catch the 'Becoming Roytston' screening with the AC peeps on wednesday. i shant say much cos i really have no comments whatsoever about it. half the time i was trying to figure out wht they were saying cos they were conversing in hokkien/cantonese (whichever lah, idk) and there weren't any subtitles! pfft. oh anw, just some insight of this 1 1/2 hr local production. it was filmed and acted by TP students. and the lead was by our very own TPSU's ex-president. i heard that its gna be shown across the island. dontknowla.
anw training ytd was alright. we had circuit training. but not rly tht tiring on our part, cos it only involves the freshies. XD oh ytd's run around the reservoir was very taxing. i rly got to build up on my stamina again. serious case. after not running for two whole months and now wna start running again, man, its rly tough cos the momentum is not thr alr. sigh. gta get on par w my timing a.s.a.p. its a must. anw, training lighten up a lil when chuan hui came. lol. apparently, she came late cos the MRT jammed at cityhall, which according to her was bcos "the train driver got amazed by her and wanted to get to know her". haha. so she went ard going, "waaaaaa! my MRT jam arrr!" repeatedly to all the ac members that she bumped into. haha. the way she said it is sooo manjer (cute?) till u cant do anything but laugh. lol.
im beginning to love thursdays. one cos there's training. and secondly, cos of cmsk2. Of all the communication skills tutorials that ive attended, by far this has to be the best. vanessa misso is one witty tutor. i dont know how she does it, but she just makes the lessons so entertaining and enjoyable. and im very certain that im not the only one who agrees to tht. my thanks to the classmates as well. always making funny remarks during lessons. lol.
as for now, i gta get myself prepared for the interview assesment which is in wk 4. its gna be a major one. dang...
okay before i end, wna wish my dear kak siti a vry vry Happy Birthday!!! :D
