HELLO PEOPLE! thanks for spamming ah johan.FO was a
BLAST. my voice rocks even more now. lol. im missing the fyrhto GLs and freshies alrdy. ahhhhhh~ :(
anw, i shall update for each and every single day for the past 6 days. to acknowledge every one of these 6 days is really a must cos it has been the most memorable week for me.
so pls bear with me alright?
Monday:first day of FOW! it was nice to see all the GLs with all smiles and looking all fresh cos it was the first day. i was stationed at the TP main gate to welcome the freshies with my other empire GLs. by the time we returned to the sports hall, it was already packed with freshies. damn excited when i saw this big group of freshies all seated in fyrhto. woootwoot. ice-breaking was fruitful cos we got to mingle around with the freshies. by the time the next activity starts, i knew almost all the freshies names (in my subemp: fyrhnox) by heart. :D took the chance to interact more with them when we were travelling from TP to tampines central for the station games.
F! for fyrhto! F F! for fyrhto! lol. kept chanting that the whole way. its really addictive. haha.
oh oh! i had the biggest shock when the main comm revealed the points earned by each empire at the end of the day. fyrhto was leading! omgla very unexpected. since otc, never before have fyrhto achieved that. and i was really really elated beyond words. for me, the results doesnt rly matter afterall, cos i had fun interacting with the freshies the whole day. went for dinner with the fyrhnox subemp GLs opposite school tht nite. we bought food for our bfast the next day as well as our dinner at tenderbest. almost got myself fried chicken wings (tempted lurh), lol, but its only the first day and i need my throat for the rest of the FO, so i settled with BBQ chicken instead. hehe.
i have to admit that i was satisfied with my performance on the first day. i was really praying that the freshies will come back the next day. and fyrhnox was greatt. i gave my all on the first day cos i only had one thing in mind. that is to leave them with the best impression so that they will come back the next day. before i slept that first night, i did some self-reflecting. i personally felt that how we, as GLs, perform on that day, reflects on the results that we get at the end of the day. to prove myself right, i kept this is mind throughout the whole 6 days. out of the 5 nights, i had the most shiok sleep on the first night. ok random. next!
Tuesday:second day was twice as fun! cos Mr Nice Eyes had training that day. weeeee. eh nolah not cos of that. hahaha.
surprisingly, those tingly feeling didnt even spur. hmmm. lol. ANW, the GLs were like crossing fingers hoping that our freshies will come back. while waiting for them to come, we played some games. one by one freshies came. and everytime 1 came, i either shouted out their name or welcome them personally. when i saw more and more familiar faces, thats when i realised that most who came were from my sub empire. happylah! haha.
oh, who say GL cannot have eyecandy?? heehee. have laa, one or two. shall not say it here. gtamassdancewithsomehinthint. lol. learning of the TP song, handsign song and the mass dance was the most fun part. the freshies enjoyed it alot. it rained that evening, pity the freshies cldnt get a chance to play games opp school. they had it around school instead. before the performance night, they revealed the empire placings again. and this time fyrtho got third. but hey, its okay! cos we know we deserved it and we're proud of it. great job freshies for the performance night! you guys were so hilarious and entertaining. i shall post the performance night vid on my next post ok?
that night before i went to sleep, nina and i had a heart to heart talk. i kept telling her that i wish the freshies will come now cos i cldnt wait to see them alr. lol. we talked for almost two hours before we turned in. only had milo that night, too tired to go opp for dinner.
Wednesday:last day of FOW. sadded. we were divided into subemps again for the carnival games. everyone was soaking wet from head to toe by the time we got back to the sports complex for lunch. after lunch was HUNT-GRY. to be honest, i really enjoyed this activity. although the GLs weren't allowed to take part in any of the games, i still enjoyed myself. just to be there to support the freshie, listen in to them discussing and joking with one another and just have fun bonding was satisfying enough. last but not least was FINAL CLASH at tembusu grove. for the first time in the history of FO, final clash lasted for only ten minutes! omglah. only 2 mins into the game, 3 lollipops got hole alr. my heart was thumping so hard when it was fyrhto and venos were the last two empire standing. i was holding my breath and grabbing on May's arm when the final whistle blew. had goose bumps all over when main comm announced that fyrhto champion. BAIK AHHH!! the GLs ran all the way to our empire and we were like so happy jumping for joy with our freshies. sooper proud of them. u knoe in soccer when u just scored a goal, then u damn happy, yah it felt like that. i think even more. aaahhhhhh! i was so overjoyed that i almost teared when fyrhto won the final clash! AHHHHH!
we had mass dance again at night. but before that was the announcing of the best freshie and the winning empire. we had quite alot of potential best freshie in fyrhto but sadly ther cld only be one. our best freshie is LOHES! woohoo congrats! i always feel nervous whenever they wana reveal the results. all the way the GLs were chanting "popi, popi, popi, popi.."( i learnt that it meant, praying to the Gods. yeaa.) non-stop when the fifth and forth placings were announced. we were expecting atleast a second or third placing. i actually jumped up screaming when the emcee went, "and the winning empire is....FYRHTO!!!!!" whoa shiok ah! we all ran towards the freshie to congrats and cheer with them. it was the first official time fyrhto tasted first placing leh. happy ah! :D SOOPER ZAI! *jellyfish dance again* hahaha!
after the mass GL debriefing, we went to join the freshies at CPF building at tampines central. it has always been a tradition each and everytime after FO to gather there to have dinner together. i didnt stay long though. was supposed to stayover at nina's hse that night since she stayed nearby school. but since we cld report quite late the next day, i decided to go home.
so yea, took 168 with zhao pei all the way to woodlands. thanks zhao pei for the talk. its nice to have someone to confide with about all that has been happening for the past 3 days. to recap every single thing once again was bliss. mom and dad was quite shocked when they saw me cos they didnt expect me to be home on that wednesday. felt quite pampered cos dad help me prepare this and that. hahaha weeee. lol. the daughter tired mah. lol.
Thursday:rise and shine! had a good night sleep with my bolster and had hot milo for bfast. damn shiok. lol. reported back to sch by 10.30am. oh and i bumped into fariza smss in bus 23. she was heading for TP as well for FOC. was quite taken back when i reached school cos so many freshies came alr. expected them to come ard 11 plus 12. so again i went to welcome the freshies at the main gate. there were so many of them. three times more than FOC. oh i bumped into syaq's friend, jannah, too! woooots. but sadded though cos she had to go home cos there were not enough places alr due to the overwhelming response. :( its okay, hope to see you around in schoool jannah! :D
when i got back to the sports hall, i started teaching the FOC freshies our signature cheers. and some of them so sporting cos first time they learnt the cheer, they so zai and high alr. woooot! this time ice-breaking with the subemp was abit more challenging cos the number of freshies were even more than during FOW. but even so, i managed to knoe most of their names. :D oh and got one freshie name shirin also. lol. in FOW got one, in FOC also got. lol. and if im not wrong, got three freshies from stmargs. hohoho.
next up was flagmaking. i was glad to see the freshies working together discussing ideas during the flag-making time despite having so many people in one empire. oh yeaa, one thing i have to comment about food min. the camp foood for the all six days days were damn shiok. how often can u get good meals during camp, tell me? lol. many thanks food min!
pity the freshies cause they cldnt get to go to tampines central this time round cos it rained. but wet-weather programme to the rescue! had it in school instead. so yeaa, it was fun bringing the freshies around TP in at night cheering our lungs out. fyrhto got fifth place that day but it was alright cos we had two more days to cheong. FOC day 1 ended ard 10 plus 11. had individual empire debrief then mass GL debrief after that. i cant rmbr what time i slept that night but it was quite late.
Friday:morning PT was goood. as usual day two is the learning of the TP song, handsign song and mass dance. my favourite day, lol. and this time the FOC freshies were more lucky than the FOW freshies cos they got to play the station games opp TP. i must say i had fun cos the freshies were laughing their ass off while playing the games. esp that navin, gudang and rokok group. always cracking jokes. lol. performance night this time took quite long cos not only freshies performed, the subcomms, main comm as well as GLs did too. i was so touched when i see the FOW freshies came back to support the FOC freshies during performance night. arhhhhhh~ so sweeet.
we had mass dance again tht night. had chicky dance next, then jam and hop. then mass dance again. woa damn tiring laa. end of day two, fyrhto got fifth placing yet again. so the GLs decided to have a heart to heart talk after the mass GL debriefing. we talked about how we performed for the past two days till about 3 plus in the morning. believe or not, i looked forward for debriefings and talks becos it really helped me learnt to become a better GL. i really wna thank my fellow GLs for all that they have shared and taught me throughout these 6 days. it really meant alot to me and i will never forget it.
Saturday:again, there was floorball training gng on. saw Mr Nice Eyes, again. haha ok crap not important. on the morning of the last day, i actually felt quite fresh. alot has been said on the previous night and all i wanted was to give my all for the freshies on the last day. then during bfast, the fyrhto GLs had a short talk again. this time it really dawned on me to give my utmost best cos i found myself actually tearing when ruslan and ali talked to all of us. after that was game on! cheonging and bonding throughout HUNT-GRY and carnival games. and guess what?? FYRHTO CAME IN THIRD!!!!! wooohooo! i felt like breaking down alr when i saw eileen cry but i still maintain uh. so happy lah! last to third know!! woa damn proud of the freshies! its all because of the freshies. they are the best. period. parting with the freshies from FOW and FOC was the saddest part. esp to the graduating students; kai wen, shep, ali, ruslan, wen qiang and JY. to this six people, i really thank you guys for everything that u have given for fyrhto. you people have taught me alot and help me to become a better GL than i was last year. so thanks again. :D oh i teared again when we had our LAST FYRHTO CHEER. sad yknoe. last and final time. :'(
anw, that night i was talking crap and laughing non-stop with the birdbirds nicholas, dian, nina, adrina while having our macdee dinner at CPF building at tampines central. LOL lah this birdbirds. haha. the parents and sis came to fetch me that night. told them to come back the next ten minutes to fetch me cos i still wanted to hang out with the fyrhto-ians. lol. cant get enough of them funny people. so yea, i left exactly at midnite. lol.
Sunday?got up at 3.15 pm. hahha. exactly 12 hours of sleep. and what a better way to end of the week than to see Man u beat Arsenal? woohooo! GLORY GLORY MAN UTD!
